The Tea Cup
A professor visited a Zen master, seeking wisdom. The Zen master offered him tea, and as they sat down, the professor began to talk about his own knowledge.

The Zen master poured the tea into the professor's cup, but he didn't stop pouring when the cup was full. The tea spilled over, and the professor exclaimed, "The cup is full! It's overflowing!"

The Zen master replied, "Like this cup, your mind is full. If you wish to learn, you must first empty it."

Moral of the Story
The story teaches us that humility and openness are essential for learning and growth. When we think we know it all, we close ourselves off to new ideas and experiences. By letting go of our preconceptions and being willing to learn, we can gain new insights and understanding.
