The Watcher in the Trees
Ava spent her childhood summers at her family's cabin in the woods. One year, she began to notice a figure watching her from the trees.

The figure was tall and imposing, with eyes that seemed to bore into Ava's soul. As the days passed, Ava became convinced that the figure was following her.

One night, Ava confronted the figure, but it vanished into thin air. The next morning, she found a note carved into the tree: "I've always been here."
