A Minute To Run Mad

Episode 1

" Once it is 6pm and you fail to sacrifice your mother to Sataya you will run mad on the street and no one will be able to heal you ever again and that your mother won't survive that sickness " the baba's voice echoed in Alabi's ear as he sat on the plastic chair in the reception waiting for the arrival of the doctor.

He had rushed his mother in hours ago, she had slumped, when planing on getting something from the kitchen.

Alabi ponder more on what was happening he looked gloomy, fed up and frustrated with life.

" I did it all because of her!! " He said to himself as he bow his head low to the floor with his two hands supporting his head. The tiles on the floor sparkles across his face displaying how the whole scenario had happened.

Five days ago, Alabi was sitting on a block pilled up to form a pillar in an opened area he was looking disturb and his face grew grim. One looking at him merely will think he wants to perpetrate an evil in the vicinity.

Meanwhile, he was thinking of how he can get some money to take his sicked poor mother to the hospital. She was suffering from an heart disease

" Mr Alabi I will advise you to raise a sum of 1.2 million naira your mum needs help " the doctor had said to him earlier.

" But doctor is there another way you can continue the treatment while I go look for the money?" He asked but the doctor shook his head in disapproval.

Due to the fact he couldn't get the money he took his mother home and hired a nurse to administer some drugs to stabilize her condition pending on the time he raise the money.

He sat at that spot for hours forgetting he is being suspected suddenly a guy came from nowhere and hit him on the neck from behind.

" So nah you Dem send come abi!!" The guy said emitting a mouthful of smoke.

" Who!!?" Alabi asked fidgeting.

" I have noticed you since morning so you are one of those ije boys that do come here to rob abi" the guy said, his voice deep and sounds like a tout.

Within a twinkling of an eye, some guys gathered without asking any questions they join the guy to beat Alabi. It was as if he was a thief, he was seriously dealt with.

Alabi pleaded trying to explain himself more but everything he was saying falls on dear ear as they deliver punches into his stomach, mouth ,back and head non-stop.

Not long a motor pack beside them, wining down the window a man in his early thirties dressed in a sumptuous outfit voiced out,

" Kaka!! " He called out and one of the guys whose name is kaka rushed to meet the man.

" Baba agbalagba!! Tuwale!! Two hands for one person, small body big engine, the odogwu one!!" Kaka hail.

" What's going on?" The man asked.

" Baba he is one of those ije boys that do rob in this area"

" Can I see him?" The man said, immediately kaka ordered them to stop so the man can have a better look at Alabi.

" Really!! But you don't have to stress yourself get him in my trunk I will hand him over " he said and instantly they did as they were instructed.

" And you guys should take this for the stress you pass through" he said handing over a bundle of fifty thousand naira to them and zoom off as they keep hailing him till he took a corner leading to his destination.
