"pls helpðŸ˜ðŸ˜ I've just made a serious mistake in my relationship... I've been married to a man named Seydou for 4yrs now, everything has been going well in our marriage. Before getting married, we were neighbors. Our respective parents initially opposed our union due to our religious differences, but eventually agreed and let us get married. Seydou is a brilliant graduate who hasn't found a job yet, but he's doing well with a taxi from a friend of his father. He provides for our needs; he's a good father to our 2-year-old son, Ibrahima. I have a chronic illness, & he sometimes spends up to a hundred thousand on me.) Although he found me a job with an acquaintance where I earn a good salary every month, he takes care of all the household expenses. He says it's to allow me to support my parents in the village; my dad has been retired for 6 years. Two weeks ago, I attended a wedding ceremony out of town with my neighborhood friends. Seydou dropped us off in his taxi. After the ceremony, I visited my ex, who works for a company & lives in the area. Actually, we didn't really brk up we just stoped talking when we had some little issues. He's still single, & although I hadn't completely broken things off with him, we rarely saw each other. I ended up in his room, & after 3 hours together, Satan took over,& I gave in to temptation - ADULTERY! As I was about to leave, my ex Felix, decided to go find a taxi for me since I was exhausted. When he came out, Seydou called me to ask if he could come pick me up since it's hard to find a taxi at that time on weekends. He told me, "I'm in the neighborhood, not far from the ceremony venue." I replied, "No, dear, I've already left; you can go, I'm with my friends." 10 minutes later, Felix knocked on the door, saying, "Hurry, I've found a taxi for you." I left his room, exchanged a tender kiss & hug with him then got into the taxi. As we drove away, I fixed my gaze on Felix's silhouette fading into the night. Suddenly, a voice asked me to fasten my seatbelt. The voice was so familiar that I didn't doubt it - it was Seydou's voice. Yes, it was Seydou, my husband, Seydou the taxi driver. He had seen & heard everything. He had caught me red-handed. The world crumbled around me. My hand trembled as I held the 3k Felix had given me to pay for the taxi. Seydou insisted on calling me by my first name, something he had never done since our marriage. He said, "Anna, please fasten your seatbelt; there are police officers at the intersection ahead, & I risk getting fined." We arrived home without speaking. The next day, he left late ,& returned at noon without the car. He had requested a sick leave, according to his boss's daughter, who is also my friend. She manages her father's taxis. He told me he would attend his niece's wedding in out of town next weekend, but last week, he had said he wouldn't attend. He packed all his clothes, shoes, & papers in an unusual way. Please help me; I'm ashamed of myself, ,& I'm ashamed in front of his family. Our parents have been friends for a long time. I'm afraid of the consequences of my actions beyond my relationship. What can I do to be forgiven? I acknowledge my fault. My husband avoids discussing the subject ,& avoids eye contact. Please help me!! The world is crumbling around me."
