According to BBC, Manchester United faced a disappointing 3-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, with the visitors delivering a dominant performance at Old Trafford. Brighton's Yankuba Minteh scored and assisted a goal, while Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter added their names to the scoresheet in the second half.

United’s goalkeeper Andre Onana made a costly error, spilling a routine cross into the box, allowing Rutter to tap home the loose ball for Brighton's third goal.

Despite Bruno Fernandes scoring a penalty to equalize at 1-1 before halftime, United struggled to regain control after the break. Brighton’s strong performance left United with little chance to respond, and a disallowed goal from Joao Pedro, ruled out by VAR, did little to dampen the visitors' dominance.

After the match, Fernandes reflected on the team's performance, highlighting key areas for improvement. Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, he said, "We can't concede goals so easily. We need to be more aggressive on the ball because this is the Premier League, and the quality is so high," he said. Fernandes stressed the need for higher intensity and more bravery when possessing the ball, particularly in the final third and between the lines.

"We can't end up all the time with the ball at our goalkeeper like we do all the time," Fernandes added. He also emphasized the importance of confidence and taking risks. "You have to be brave to do it again and again. It doesn't matter how much pressure is on you or how difficult it is to play for Manchester United."

With United languishing in 13th place and Brighton climbing to 9th, the result marked another challenging day for Ruben Amorim's side.
Just too inconsistent
United needs a heart surgery 🤣
