Have you heard of the "Darvaza Crater" in Turkmenistan? It's a natural gas field that has been burning continuously since 1971!

The crater was formed when a drilling rig accidentally tapped into an underground cavern, causing the ground to collapse. To prevent the spread of methane gas, the team lit it on fire, expecting it to burn off in a few weeks.

But the fire has continued to burn for over 50 years, becoming a surreal tourist attraction.
