Nigeria’s Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene has made a heroic return to football, signing with Ottawa Rapid FC in Canada’s new Northern Super League (NSL) just four months after giving birth to her son, Nathan.


The 31-year-old midfielder, a four-time WAFCON champion with 75 national team caps, balances motherhood with midfield mastery, proving elite sport and parenthood can coexist.

Okobi’s move to Ottawa Rapid FC marks her as the first African international in the NSL, elevating the league’s global profile.
