The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, Yunusa Tanko, has affirmed that former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, remains a member of the Labour Party, despite speculations about his defection.

Tanko dismissed claims that Obi has joined the Social Democratic Party, stating that such rumours are unfounded.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Morning Brief programme on Monday, Tanko said the leadership of the Labour Party will soon clarify its position following the recent Supreme Court ruling that sacked Julius Abure as the party’s national chairman.
