Jack had been driving for hours, but his GPS insisted he was still miles from his destination. The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the deserted highway. As the darkness deepened, Jack began to feel a creeping sense of unease.
Suddenly, his car's radio crackled to life. A low, raspy voice spoke a single phrase: "Turn back now." Jack spun the dial, but the voice remained, its tone growing more urgent.
Despite his growing fear, Jack pressed on. The highway seemed to stretch on forever, with no signs of life or civilization. The voice continued to warn him, its words becoming more menacing.
As Jack rounded a curve, he saw a figure standing on the side of the road. It was a woman, her face twisted in a scream. Jack slammed on the brakes, but as he looked closer, the woman vanished.
The voice on the radio grew louder, more insistent. "Turn back now, or you'll never escape." Jack's heart racing, he realized he was lost in a never-ending loop of highway.
Every mile marker he passed seemed to reset to zero. The same billboards and road signs repeated themselves. Jack's phone had no signal, and his GPS had stopped working.
As the night wore on, Jack encountered more apparitions: a child wandering the highway, a group of ghostly hitchhikers, and a figure in a tattered coat, its face hidden behind a hood.
The voice on the radio continued to taunt him, its words echoing in Jack's mind. "You'll never leave this highway. You'll drive forever."
Some say that on certain nights, when the moon is full and the highway is deserted, you can still hear Jack's screams, echoing across the empty miles. Others claim to have seen his car, driving endlessly, a ghostly apparition trapped in a never-ending loop of terror.
