Roberts drove Alice to her house first before driving back to his own house.
"Thank you so much, Roberts, you've eased me of some stress, thank you so much." Alice said kindly.
"You are welcome." Roberts replied in his sweet boy manner.
"Would you love to come in so that I can entertain you to a properly cooked home made dish? I guess you have not been eating well since your wife's accident." Angel said seductively.
"Don't worry about me, I will be fine, I need to hurry up and get back to my wife, you do take good care of yourself." Roberts said.
"I will." Angel said and waved goodbye at Roberts as he started driving back. "I will soon have you wrapped around my fingers, Roberts, just a matter of time." Alice thought.
Roberts didn't know what it was that attracted her to the nurse. He needed to stop thinking about her and focus on his family. He loved his wife so much and couldn't afford to do anything that will hurt her. In few minutes' time, he reached his house. He went to first pick David up from their neighbor's apartment.
"Daddy!" David jumped on his father immediately he saw him. He had missed his family so much. Roberts thanked the family that harboured David and the two of them walked down to their own apartment.
"Daddy, where is mom?" David asked when he noticed that his mom was not around.
"David, mom is in the hospital. She had an accident so she has to stay in the hospital so that the doctors and nurses can take care of her. So, you and I have to freshen up and eat so that we can go and see mom and make her happy." Roberts told his son.
"Okay Daddy, but hope that wicked nurse is no longer in that hospital so she doesn't hurt mom?" David asked politely.
"David, I've told you before, there's no nurse that is wicked. Nurses take care of people who are sick. The nurses in the hospital are taking care of Mom not hurting her." Roberts answered his son unaware that the wicked nurse his son was talking about was Nurse Alice.
"Okay Daddy, if you say so." David said. Roberts was still removing his clothes when he heard a knock on the door. He had to hurriedly put on a singlet and rushed downstairs to answer the door. It was Nurse Alice. She was holding a foodflask in her hand.
"I know you told me not to worry about you but I couldn't help but worry knowing fully well that you have not eaten since two days ago and your son too, I don't know how he's faring. I had this egusi soup in my freezer, I brought it so that you guys can at least eat." Alice explained.
"Alice, this is way too much, you shouldn't have." Roberts said.
"It's nothing, honestly." Alice said sweetly.
"Wow, thank you so much Alice." Roberts said as she handed over the soup to him.
Roberts told her to come inside so that he would wash the flask and return it to her. When she came inside, Alice insisted she would wash the flask by herself. Roberts said he wasn't going to allow her to do that. Roberts went into the kitchen and Alice followed her. The two of them were still playfully dragging who would wash the flask when David entered the kitchen.
