đ˘ #CHAPTER 4ď¸âŁ đ˘ As soon as the car disappeared from view, Kehindey turned to his sister. "What next?" he asked, his voice low. Taiwoâs lips curled into a sly smile. "Stop acting like you donât know ," She replied romantically. With their parents gone, Kehindey and Taiwo went back into their room, unaware that a hidden camera was silently recording their every move. The twins proceeded to undress each other while the camera sat unnoticed on top of the wardrobe, its lens capturing everything. They both fell on the bed and continued with their normal dreadful act. This time, it wasnât just simple touching; they proceeded to do it the way they watched it on the TV the other night. Kehindey felt so relaxed having an affair with her twin sister because nobody was at home to stop or apprehend them and Taiwo was also enjoying what her brother was doing to her. As they were playing inside their room and the camera was recording everything, Their neighbor was overhearing them from outside, but this time she didnât bother because their parents would never believe anything they said about her children. Far from home, Juana and Frank arrived at the company party. The hall was lively with music, laughter, and conversations. Frank, eager to enjoy himself, joined his colleagues in dancing and chatting. But Juana felt uneasy. She sat alone at a table, starring at nothing, lost in thought. The way her children seemed almost too eager to be left alone haunted her thoughts. The neighborâs report, the strange feeling in her chestâshe tried to push it all aside, but it refused to leave her mind. Noticing her expression, Frank walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Are you alright?" he asked, concerned. Juana blinked and forced a small smile. "Yes... Iâm fine. Just a little stomach ache." âAre you sure? You look worried.â He asked again with a more curious look. âYes, honey! Iâm absolutely fine.â She lied. âIf then, why not join me, letâs dance. Thatâs why weâre here after all,â he requested. âUmm, you can go ahead! Iâm having a stomach upset and I donât want to stress myself too much.â Juana replied rubbing her hands on her stomach. Frank studied her face but nodded. "Alright, just rest. Iâll be with my colleagues." As soon as he left, Juana sighed and reached for her drink. Before she could take a sip, her phone buzzed. She frowned at the unknown number flashing on the screen and opened the message. "Juana! Come back home immediately! You need to see something with your own eyes!" Her heart pounded in her chest. Who could have sent this? What was happening at home? What is it that I have to see with my own eyes? Could it be about my kids? Different thoughts ran through her mind as she quickly dialed the number, but the call wouldnât go through. Panic gripped her. She had to get home. Slipping out of the party unnoticed, she rushed outside, flagged down a taxi, and urged the driver to go as fast as possible. When she arrived, she saw a group of neighbors gathered near her house, murmuring among themselves. Their eyes followed her as she hurried past them, her stomach twisting with anxiety. She banged hard on the door and Taiwo opened it, looking startled. "Mum! Why are you back so soon?" she asked, trying to sound casual. Juana didnât answer. She walked past her and strode straight to the bedroom. Taiwo hesitated before following, her heart racing. Without a word, Juana reached for the wardrobe and pulled out the small camera. Her hands trembled as she struggled to operate the camera and as she did, her breath caught in her throat. Her face went pale. Her eyes widened in disbelief and her entire body stiffened. Taiwoâs eyes widened with fear at the sight of her mother tampering with the camera. Kehindey, who had been lying on the bed moments ago, sat up in shock, his heart sank into his stomach. âWait, what!!! What the fuck is this?!â âNo! This⌠This is not possible!â Juana screamed in pain. Taiwoâs heart pounded in her chest, her breath coming in short, nervous gasps. Beside her, Kehindey was already shivering in fear, his hands trembling slightly. Their mother, Juana, pressed the buttons on the camera, her fingers tense with anticipation. But to her greatest surprise, the screen showed nothing of what she had expected. The camera had only captured the ceiling fan and the clothes hanging in the corner of the room. Her brows furrowed, confusion washing over her. Something wasnât right. She turned sharply to face her children; her eyes dark with suspicion. "Come! Come here! Come closer!" she commanded. Kehindey and Taiwo hesitated but obeyed, stepping toward their mother, their eyes fixed on her lips, waiting for what she would say next. "Who touched this camera among the two of you?" Juanaâs voice was sharp and her eyes scanning their faces for any sign of guilt. Kehindeyâs lips quivered. "Mum, IâI didnât touch any camera!" Taiwo took a deep breath, steadying herself. "Mum, I didnât even know you put a camera in our room." "I was even surprised when you walked straight to the wardrobe and pulled it out. You know the wardrobe is too high for us to reach. How could we have touched it even if we saw it?" Juanaâs hands tightened around the camera, her mind racing. She scrolled through the footage again, pressing buttons, rewinding, fast-forwardingâdesperate to find what she had expected to see. But it was useless. There was nothing, even the audio wasn't recorded. Only a still image of the ceiling fan spinning lazily, shadows flickering on the walls. Her mind kept wondering as to why the camera recorded only the ceiling fan and the audio recording was turned off. Taiwo felt her body relax slightly. Relief washed over her. Their mother wouldnât find anything incriminating. This was her chance to take control of the conversation. "But mum, why did you hide a camera inside our room," she said with a steady voice. "Are you suspecting us of something? Or have you finally started listening to what the neighbors say about Kehindey and me?" Kehindey quickly added, "Yes, Mum! Why did you put a camera in our room? Donât you trust your own children anymore?" Juana stood frozen, her mouth slightly open, but no words came out. She had no excuse ready, no lie she could tell. Without answering, she turned and walked out of the room. As soon as she left, Taiwo quickly shut the door. A wide grin spread across her face as she turned to Kehindey. They had escaped once again. "All thanks to you, Taiwo. You saved us today." She smiled confidently. "You donât have to worry. As long as weâre in this together, weâll never be caught." Kehindey's curiosity got the better of him. "But how did you even find out about the camera?" Taiwo chuckled. "I wasnât sleeping when Mum came in. I had woken up from a strange dream and was lying in bed, thinking about it, when I heard footsteps approaching. I pretended to be asleep and peeked. Then I saw Mum placing something on top of the wardrobe. And when Mum and Dad left for the party, I climbed up and checked. Thatâs when I found the camera pointing straight at our bed. So, I changed its position and turned off the audio recording." Kehindey stared at his sister in awe. A wide smile stretched across his face. "Wow. Youâre amazing. Thank you." She laughed softly. "You donât have to thank me. We just have to be more careful." Taiwo responded as she proceeded to give her brother a tight hug. Taiwo and his brother continued this very deadly act without been caught, it has now become part of their life as they both enjoyed each otherâs company. Days passed, and life in the house continued as usual. But one morning, something awkward happened. Taiwo walked into her parentsâ room to retrieve something she had left there the previous night. Her mother was busy in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. Frank, her father, had just stepped out of the bathroom, fresh from a warm bath. He untied the towel around his waist and dropped it down while he gently apply some creams on his body without noticing Taiwoâs presence. She just stood at a corner, admiring her fatherâs manhood. 3 3 |
