I generated 387,817 views through my personal Facebook profile so far in February.

It’s my most effective traffic channel.

Here is what I found works and doesn’t work for me.

Best Performing Content Types (in no particular order )

#1 Photos. Particularly photos of myself.

I guess that makes sense since it is my personal Facebook… but it still surprises me often.

But that’s why I add a photo of myself even when it really doesn’t relate a lot of the time.

#2 “I just made a free X. Who wants it?”

It’s gimmicky and very 2022 twitter… but it works.

These consistently get the most comments and reactions.

#3 Success/Achievement stories

Successes I have work best, but anyone’s success works well.

Money works best, then buying business type successes, then personal victories like losing weight etc…

Also these bring iyt the haters which is good for engagement but if you’re the kind of person this bothers it’s worth mentioning.

#4 Lifestyle stuff

My same haircut pic, traveling (hence the brokie gimmick) boxing, or being vulnerable does the best.

Stuff that doesn’t work well

#1 Tough love

Telling people the harsh truth doesn’t seem to resonate. At least with people that read me.

There is an undeniable correlation with a drop in views after I make a tough love post.

There are no rewards for being right.

#2 Text only posts

These do not work at all in my experience.

Only minor exception is when it is short enough to use the bright purple background (that’s the only one that works btw… I’ve tested it)

Platitudes that slay on Twitter sink like a stone on Facebook.

#3 Livestreams

Facebook has killed livestreams over the last 6 months or so. I think it may be because of the software I use… but I haven’t yet tested streaming directly to facebook and I don’t know that I will.

#4 Anything with a link to something outside Facebook.

I figure everyone knows this but if you link in your posts you’ll be lucky if your mom sees it.

#5 Screenshots of Facebook

I’dk why but these always tank. Just like this one likely will.

Stuff that doesn’t really fit in either bucket

#1 Reels/Videos

These perform ok and sometimes catch on but they tend to be very consistently mid.

#2 Promotional content

When i have a sale or something it generates money unquestionably… but the most itself tends to flop.

#3 Stories

These seem totally random in how they perform

Tips that help

Add every little thing that Facebook gives you to your posts… ho you’re feeling, who you’re with, checking in and so on.

Be random. It’s not like YouTube. It seems to respond well to not being on a set schedule.

Tell a story. This is basic marketing but telling a story works better than educational content like this post (another reason I expect it to flop).

Turn on professional mode. It will give you extra tools, ways to monetize and analytics.

Make all your posts public so people other than your friends can see you.

Ads don’t work well. You can run ads from your personal profile if you are in professional mode but in my experience they don’t work well.

I think that’s it.

Idk if my numbers are relatively high or low but I feel like I don’t know many people that will have comparable numbers but I could be wrong.

For me it’s a great channel and my favorite one so hopefully this will inspire someone out these to leverage their personal profile as well.

Note: This works on the Free version of ChatGPT 3.5. But for higher accuracy, you can upgrade to GPT-4.

Stage 1: Prepare ChatGPT, use this prompt.
Prompt: " You are an expert ghostwriter with 20 years of experience.

I’m going to provide you with some written material from three different authors, and your task will be to understand and craft a unique writing style that has elements of all three authors.

You'll start this exercise by saying "BEGIN.” After,

I'll present an example text, to which you'll respond, "CONTINUE".

The process will continue similarly with another piece of writing and then with further examples. I'll give you unlimited examples.

Your response will only be "CONTINUE.” You're only permitted to change your response when I tell you "FINISHED".

After this, you'll explore and understand the tone, style, and characteristics of the writing based on the samples I've given.

Then craft a unique writing style.

Finally, I'll prompt you to craft a new piece of writing on a specified topic, emulating the distinctive writing style. "

Stage 2: Create a unique style of writing If you already have one.
Feed it to ChatGPT.

If you don't, here’s how you can develop it:
Choose 3 creators whose writing style you like. (I chose Cza, Dan Koe, and Toyin Omotoso)

Take 8-10 Twitter threads of each creator and compile them in a Word document.
Feed it to ChatGPT - one creator at a time.

Stage 3: Once done type “FINISHED”

Stage 4: Name your unique style of writing I named mine “Njasi style"
Then use it to write more human-like content that doesn't sound like AI.

Hope this helps.
