Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia should welcome foreigners who align with its traditional values and contribute to the country's economy.

"We must continue developing support mechanisms for the return of our compatriots, as well as for foreign nationals who share our traditional values, wish to live and work in Russia, and, especially, those with the necessary qualifications and education that our economy needs," Putin said.
