David Parradang, a former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, was found kpai in a hotel room in Abuja on March 4, 2025. Initially, there were reports that he was attacked by area boys, but the police have since clarified the circumstances surrounding his kpai.

According to the police, Parradang checked into the Joy House Hotel at Area 3 Junction on March 3, 2025, and paid for a one-night stay. He then had a hotel attendant escort a female visitor to his room. The woman left the hotel around 4 pm, and Parradang remained in his room [1).

When Parradang's friend, a military officer, couldn't reach him after several hours, he tracked him to the hotel and, with the help of the receptionist, found Parradang unresponsive in his room. The police were immediately alerted, and the body was taken to the National Hospital for further examination.

The police are currently investigating the incident and are searching for the unidentified woman who was last seen with Parradang. They have urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation, particularly claims of a kidnapping, which could incite fear and panic ¹.
