A really gradual slowburn.....things move at snail pace in the first 3 episodes. But when you get past that things really unfolds as it delves deeper into the dune Universe lore. It's steeped in the history of the Sisterhood or the Bene Gesserit and the brutal feud rivalry between the Harkonnens and the Atreides family. Has themes of religion just like the movies but this one more closely gravitates towards politics and power play. 1  |
