Popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has fil£d a lawsuit against social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), accu-sing him of d€famation over all£gations related to her past record label, EeZee Conceptz.

In a l£gal document dated March 3, 2025, prepared by her lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi, Chinwo described VDM’s remarks as “lib£lous, maliciØus, and grøssly d£famatory.” She ass€rted that he had no direct involvement in her contract disput£ but still made hårmful all£gations that damag€d her reputation.

Chinwo’s L£gal Demands:

• ₦1 billion in general damages
• ₦100 million in punitive and aggravated damages
• ₦25 million to cover legal expenses
• A public apology and retraction of the alleged defamatory statements
• Removal of all related social media posts
• Retractions published in four national newspapers for 14 days
