How Antibiotics Contribute to the Death of Your Broilers
Antibiotics are formulated to treat bacterial infections, but excessive or improper use can harm your birds. I advise everyone not to use antibiotics for more than five days, even if the drug does not show any sign of improvement in the birds. Instead, consider switching to organic treatments such as scent leaves, pawpaw leaves, bitter leaves, garlic, ginger, turmeric, and similar natural remedies. These are highly effective for maintaining poultry health and are also safer for human health as consumers of poultry products.
Organic products address health problems at their root by boosting the immune system of the birds and increasing the population of beneficial microorganisms that help fight bacterial infections. If you want to experience reduced mortality in your farm, practice organic poultry farming. It has no side effects on your birds or you as a consumer. I have personally experienced its benefits and encourage you to try it.
However, in cases of severe infection on your farm, you may combine the use of drugs and organic farming. This does not mean mixing them together but rather using antibiotics for up to five days to manage serious infections. Once the treatment period ends, regardless of whether there is improvement, discontinue the antibiotics and revert to organic practices.
If you are not currently using organic methods, I recommend introducing them and observing the difference. Nature remains the best approach to health for both poultry and humans.
