I had real success in my life What is success? Each of us wants to achieve it, capture it... For some of us, it may be a success to get a good job, successful marriage, or wealth. However, my success was and is that I have learned the true source of my happiness - God.
This happened more than twenty years ago when I was looking for the meaning of my life and repeatedly wondered how my future would turn out. I didn't believe that getting a good education, a satisfying job or an excellent life partner would be everything I could achieve here. Thank God – there is much more. At that time God did not take the first place in my life, but somehow subconsciously I had the belief that there is much more for each of us than everyday life struggles. I knew quite a lot about the Lord Jesus, but I never really experienced His presence. However, I met people who represented Jesus and through their attitude, I was encouraged to start reading the Bible and trust God, and entrusted my life to Him.
I remember this unforgettable moment, it was in February 1993, in a short prayer that came out of my heart, I gave the Lord Jesus my life. Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6
What truth! Since then Jesus became the way I can now go, the truth I always longed for, and the real-life full of meaning I was looking for.
Jesus also said: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”. John 11:25b-26 NIV I am successful in my life, and I am fulfilled and peaceful about my future, because “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV You also can be part of this success, I encourage you, whoever and wherever you are, TRUST GOD and in a short prayer, give Him your life, turn away from your sinful life and start reading God's Word - then you will see how Jesus starts changing you and making your life a real success.
Here's an example of prayer, you can use: God, the Father, thank you for loving me so much that You sent Your the only Son to die for me. Please forgive me all my sins, I invite You to my life and I give You my heart. From now on I want to follow You and learn from You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Amen
