As they walked, Ben turned to Amaka and said, "You know, I've been thinking..."
Amaka's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "What about?" she asked.
Ben smiled mischievously. "I was thinking that maybe it's time we take our relationship to the next level."
Amaka's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ben's eyes locked onto hers. "I mean, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Amaka. Will you marry me?"
Tears of joy filled Amaka's eyes as she nodded eagerly. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" she exclaimed.
Ben slid a small box out of his pocket and opened it, revealing a beautiful diamond ring. He slipped it onto Amaka's finger, and they shared a kiss as the sun dipped below the horizon.
Their friends, who had been watching from a distance, cheered and clapped for the happy couple. Chioma, who had once harbored feelings for Ben, smiled genuinely, happy to see her friends so in love.
As they celebrated, Mary turned to Chioma and said, "You know, I think it's time we start thinking about our own love lives."
Chioma raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And what makes you say that?"
Mary grinned mischievously. "Let's just say I have a few tricks up my sleeve."
And with that, the friends laughed and continued their celebration, excited to see what the future held for each of them.
