The Rivers State House of Assembly has set a March 15 target to finalize the state budget, stressing the urgency of restoring statutory allocations that have been withheld. The Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Enemi George, made this known during an interview on TVC News, stating that the Assembly had already reached out to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, urging him to submit the budget without further delay.

"All that were done to us, we have put behind us, we wrote to the Governor, please bring the budget," George said, emphasizing that lawmakers are ready to move forward in the interest of the state.
