The Stranger in My Photos 3

I woke up to a new notification: "1 new photo added to your gallery."

I didn’t take any pictures last night.

When I opened it, my heart stopped. It was a photo of me, asleep in bed — but this time, the angle wasn’t from my closet.

It was taken from inches away, like someone was standing over me.

My face looked peaceful, but behind me, reflected faintly in the window, was him. The stranger.

Only now, his face wasn’t blurry anymore.

It was mine.

And his eyes were open.

Mine were not.
