The Moon's Gift (A Short African Story)

Under the starry night sky, a young Yoruba girl named Adetola whispered a wish to the moon. She longed to heal her ailing mother.
Suddenly, a soft breeze carried a delicate, glowing leaf to Tola’s feet. As she touched it, a warm light spread through her body.
Tola rushed to her mother's side and placed the leaf on her forehead. The light grew brighter, and her mother's eyes fluttered open, filled with newfound strength.
The villagers whispered that the moon had sent a piece of its own soul to heal Tola’s mother, and from that day on, Adetola was known as the Moon's Chosen One.
