Whispers of a Rainy Night

The sky exhales a heavy sigh,
Clouds weep softly as winds rush by.
Moonlight hides behind a shroud,
Raindrops dance — quiet, yet loud.

Pavement glistens, silver and black,
Echoes of footsteps never look back.
Thunder hums a distant tune,
While puddles reflect the watching moon.

The night is lonely, cold, and deep,
Yet the rain sings a song that lulls me to sleep.
