The media officer of the Rwanda Football Association, FERWAFA, Oliver Maurice, says it is important for the Amavubi to stop Victor Osimhen. Osimhen will lead Nigeria’s attack in Friday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday five encounter.

The 26-year-old has been in fantastic form for Turkish Süper Lig champions Galatasaray this season. The forward has registered 26 goals and five assists in 30 matches across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds.

Maurice emphasized the importance of curtailing Osimhen.

“Osimhen is on fire, and we will try to stop him in this match,” Maurice was quoted as saying by SCORENigeria.
