Deputy Governor Farauta Urges Youth to Embrace Music Ministry as a Path to Spiritual Transformation
Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, has called on the younger generation to view music ministry not merely as a form of entertainment but as a viable avenue for service and worship to God.
The Deputy Governor made this call while receiving renowned gospel singer Panam Percy Paul during a courtesy visit on Thursday.
In her address, Deputy Governor Farauta expressed deep appreciation for the visit, emphasizing the importance of sharing experiences that inspire and uplift the younger generation.
She prayed for the singer’s continued blessings and praised him for bringing honor to Adamawa State through his impactful music ministry.
“Your work in the gospel music field is commendable, and it serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for our youth. I pray for your upliftment and that you continue to bless our churches and the good people of Adamawa,” Professor Farauta stated.
Professor Farauta also reaffirmed the Adamawa State government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for religious activities, underscoring the state’s reputation for religious harmony and tolerance. “This government is supported by prayers and the goodwill of our people,” she added.
She further encouraged the youth to learn from Panam Percy Paul’s example, using music as a tool to lead and positively influence others. The Deputy Governor prayed for more open doors for the gospel singer and reminded him to cherish and uphold his cultural heritage
Earlier, in his remarks Panam Percy Paul, a gospel artist and proud son of Adamawa from Demsa Local Government Area, shared that his visit was in preparation for the upcoming Yola Destiny Worship Concert.
According to him the event, running from Thursday through Sunday, will feature the School of Worship Seminar, the official launch of his books, and the Destiny Worship Concert.
Panam Percy Paul explained that the School of Worship seminar aims to educate young people on the distinction between worship and music, helping them understand the deeper role of both in society.
He also highlighted the Destiny Worship Concert as an opportunity to showcase his musical talents and stated that his books are designed to encourage personal and spiritual growth among readers.
During the visit, Panam Percy Paul presented copies of his books to Deputy Governor Farauta ahead of their official launch, symbolizing the collaboration between the gospel artist and the state government in promoting spiritual growth and cultural heritage.
He also used the opportunity to invite the Deputy Governor to the event.
